"Having a support person (like Lynda as a doula) through pregnancy, birth and beyond was amazing. Her dedication and passion for the miracle of birth was comforting and confidence building. After comparing birth with and without a doula, I believe every woman and her family need one, and would be blessed to have a doula as hardworking and knowledgable as Lynda."

"Our homebirth was an empowering, strengthening experience. With my midwife, my doula helped me conquer my anxieties and finally close the book on a previous traumatic birth. I owe them both a great deal." B, June 2011
"Lynda fulfills every aspect of what it means to be a doula. She was a pillar of strength and support for me not only during my birth but afterwards also, when I needed her the most. Lynda was by my side for days on end supporting me through my experience and I feel truly blessed to have been able to have that support. Lynda is passionate about supporting women in every way, shape and form. Thank you Lynda! "
"I first found Lynda through a close friend of mine when I was a few months pregnant, she told me that she had a friend that was a doula and gave me her email. I had heard of doula’s before and thought it was a fantastic idea to use one but didn’t know how truly useful Lynda would be to me and my partner.
From the first conversation I had with Lynda she was helping me with any concerns and questions I had, she gently let me know that I was the only person who could control my birth! She made me feel supported in all the decisions I made, not only with the birth but with parenting, and provided me with a lot of research to help me to make educated, informed choices.
As my pregnancy progressed I always knew she would be there for me, if I was having any problems or worries, even just for a chat! She gave me far more support than any of the midwives did in the local hospital.
When it came to the birth she was amazing, she not only offered support for me but also for my partner and daughter who was with us for some of the labour. She had so many tricks up her sleeve and knew exactly what to do and when to do it. Lynda knew exactly where to find resources to help me and if she didn’t have them she found them for me. She taught me to have confidence in my body’s ability, and made me realize I could do it!
If I hadn’t had Lynda there to support me I wouldn’t have known about the choices I had, and I certainly wouldn’t have been able to give birth without drugs. I’m eternally grateful to her for all she’s done to help my family."

"I was thrilled to find Lynda early on in my pregnancy. She offered a huge amount of prenatal support which was invaluable as I went through it was my first pregnancy and uncharted waters! She was always available to answer or find answers for any question big or small.
I was unfortunate to have some complications set in and Lynda was again incredible in her ability to find out more to help me deal with what was happening. I felt as though I always had control as I was always able to seek out information. The saying “Knowledge is power” applies to pregnancy as well. When you have the knowledge you can ask the right questions and Lynda is excellent at making sure her clients have that knowledge and self empowerment.
Through out my labour which was quite long Lynda was an awesome support for me and my husband. She helped us to stay focused as the hours ticked by and gave not just me but my husband support and encouragement. We could not have done it without her!! Although things may not have gone to plan Lynda was always there reminding us that the ultimate plan was the safe arrival of our daughter. Nothing else mattered. I know that without Lynda I would not have been able to cope as well as I did with my pregnancy and birth.
Thank you so much Lynda, we will always be grateful!!!"

My Champagne Birth
"After the birth of my first child I was absolutely petrified to have my second. In actual fact I thought I wasn't able to give birth naturally and all the complications that I had kept running through my mind.
I met Lynda through the Australian Breastfeeding Association meetings I was attending and when she offered her services to me as a Doula I jumped at the chance. My husband took a bit of convincing as he thought it was his role and we didn't need a third party. Lynda came over to explain exactly what the role of Doula was and over the next few weeks brought so much information about how to avoid the complications I had with the first birth and went through so many birthing ball techniques to speed up the labour and all the options I had if things were to get complicated. I was actually starting to feel like I could do this and Lynda made me feel understood and supported.
When I was in labour Lynda and my parter were absolutely sensational. I only had to concentrate on breathing through my contractions. My husband and Lynda took care of the rest from non stop heat packs, to birthing pool and happy gas and even a request for an epidural which didn't eventuate as my son came into the world so quick there was no time.
Not only did I give birth naturally but it was also very quick. I felt so empowered and proud to wheel my son down to the maternity ward and within three hours of giving birth we opened a bottle of bubbly to celebrate. I felt fabulous and I enjoyed the whole birthing experience.
When my son was born my husband and I was able to have our special time together to bond with our beautiful son, Lynda knew when to give us time alone. Lynda also was a fabulous support for my husband and we are both so grateful for all her hard work she put in. We got so much more out of it then we expected and to top it off Lynda produced a film she put together of the birth that we will cherish forever.
Lynda has extensive pool of knowledge and also was there to give lactation advice afterwards.
Thank You so Much Lynda"
